FRANKFORT, Ky. —

Kentucky's attorney general has filed a lawsuit against a Louisville moving company accused of stealing from customers.

Attorney General Russell Coleman filed the lawsuit against Louisville-based Margaret's Moving and Storage.

According to the lawsuit, customers say the company did not return items after being stored, did not tell them where items were stored, and damaged items during storage and moving.

“Moving is always stressful, and the Kentuckians who entrusted their precious belongings to this company have been repeatedly let down. When a company takes advantage of their customers and then refuses to work with our Office to make them whole, we’ll hold them accountable in court,” Coleman said in a news release.
