KINDRED — It's the start of a new era for the Kindred Vikings football program once again.

The Vikings are set to make the jump into North Dakota's second-highest division, joining the Eastern Dakota Conference for football in 2025, alongside Central Cass.

While a lot may be new entering the upcoming season, Kindred's philosophies as a program remain.

"Coach [Eric] Burgad does a great job of having a great defensive mentality for the team and always going out there saying, 'we're not going to let them score this game. Our goal is a goose egg.' That's the goal every single game," said junior Luke Starcevic, who expects to play offensive and defensive line this season.
