PASCO, Wash. – A fatal traffic crash occurred on State Route 395 within the Pasco city limits today, claiming two lives and injuring one person.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened at the intersection of Foster Wells Road and State Route 395 where the driver of a small car, traveling westbound on Foster Wells Road, failed to yield the right of way.

The driver of a pickup truck was approaching from the southbound direction on State Route 395 when it struck the side of the smaller vehicle.

Rafaela Alquicira Huipio, 50, and Yureli Ontiveros Alquicira, 17, both from Richland, were in the smaller vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the pickup was transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.
