Calvin Harris has been left "gutted" after his pet rooster was killed by a dog.
The Grammy winner claimed his feathered companion was slain by a neighbour's dog.
"RIP Smokey we love you," Calvin, 41, wrote on social media alongside a photo of himself holding the bird up to the camera, accompanied by the song My Love for You by Smokey Robinson.
"Raised this lad from a chick to a majestic cockerel," he shared.
Calvin went on to claim Smokey was "murdered by the idiot neighbours grimey dogs" before adding he was "absolutely gutted" by the loss of his beloved rooster.
One week earlier, Calvin had shared the news that his wife, Vick Hope, 35, gave birth to their first child, a son they named Micah, on 20 July.
The DJ and producer posted an Instagram carousel of images of himself with Micah as well as of Vick in their inflatable home birthing pool, and finally a series of snaps of the placenta being dehydrated and turned into capsules.
"20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here!" Calvin wrote in a caption to accompany the photos. "My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah."
