NIXA, Mo. (KY3) - On Tuesday’s Nixa city council meeting, the council is expected to hear the first reading of Council bill 2025-25 that seeks to grant a special use permit to build a taproom in the middle of a neighborhood. This move has mixed views from people living near the proposed site.

The developer plans to construct a taproom and restaurant on a three-acre parcel of land near Old Castle and Tracker roads, along with a second restaurant featuring a drive-through. The Nixa Planning and Zoning Commission held a public meeting last week to hear the initial proposal. As for the parcel itself, it’s currently zoned as a neighborhood commercial zoning district.
