Brandon Blackstock passed away at age 48 after a three-year battle with cancer.

Reba McEntire and Brandon's dad, Narvel, were married from 1989 until 2015.

Reba paid tribute to her "oldest son" with a special message on Instagram.

Reba McEntire shared a heartfelt message with fans as she mourns the loss of her stepson, Brandon Blackstock . The country music star was married to Brandon's dad for 26 years, and although they were not related by blood, she considered Brandon to be her son. Brandon died on August 7 after a battle with melanoma.

Reba shared a series of photos, including pictures of her and Brandon holding a chicken, fishing from a pier, and all dressed up for a special occasion.
