DULUTH — With help from some results elsewhere, the Duluth Huskies found out Tuesday night that they won't need a bus this week for the rest of the Northwoods League playoffs.
First, in St. Cloud, the visiting Mankato MoonDogs thumped the host St. Cloud Rox 10-4 to win the Great Plains West divisional series two games to won.
Because the Huskies (45-27) have the superior overall record, they'll host Wednesday's single-game playoff at Wade Stadium at 6:35 p.m.
In the Great Lakes Division championship game, the Green Bay Rockers knocked off the Traverse City Pit Spitters 10-5, meaning that Green Bay will await the conclusion of Wednesday's game to determine whether they will host Mankato in the Summer Collegiate World Series championship game or if they will travel to Duluth.
