LINCOLN, Neb. —
Coach Mike Ekeler admitted he had his eye on Archie Wilson for years and hoped to bring him to Tennessee.
Now that Ekeler is coaching in Lincoln, he's thrilled the native of Australian picked Nebraska as his college choice, and as KETV Matt Sottile reports, there's so much to like about the punter from Down Under.
It was an emotional moment on Monday, when Wilson broke down in tears when asked about moving away from his family.
"Yeah, that's the tough part about being here. I love them a lot, and I miss them," he said.
But Wilson is growing closer to his new family in Lincoln.
"That guy knows every one of his teammates, and his teammates love him because the energy he brings in the building, not just because he's able to do what he can do with a football," said Ekeler
