NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches Dragons have had a less than stellar start to the Darby House era, going 3-7 in the past two seasons and finishing outside the playoffs.

But for the 2025 season, the Dragons are slated to have 20 different starters return to the field.

Something that Nacogdoches during the House era has yet to see.

“We’ve always had to rely on younger kids,” House said. “...which is pain during the product, but now it’s starting to reap some of its benefits.”

“We’ve got multiple multi-year starters everywhere, so that’s gonna be big for us,”.

One of those 20 returners from a season ago is senior wide receiver and Texas State Gold Medalist in the High Jump, Micah Lockett.
