TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -After dominating runs through both state and regional tournaments, Tallahassee-Leon’s 13U Babe Ruth team is World Series bound.

The squad held its final practice Tuesday night before heading to Jamestown, New York, hoping to be the last team standing at the annual event.

“We’ve played really good, our pitching was good, our defense was good and we got runs when we needed them,” said second baseman and pitcher Parker Pennington. “We’re very excited and we’re going to try to go up there and win it all for Tallahassee.”

“The young men have been through some adversity with the rain, the early games, the late games, they’ve never complained,” beamed head coach Mike Harrison of his team’s work ethic. “If you want to practice four hours or two hours, the answer is yes
