GLENDALE, Ariz. — A Valley family is searching for a missing teenager who they believe is with a man she met on an online gaming platform.

August 8 is a big day for the Reynolds-Sheets family. It's Emma Sheets' birthday, and this year, she turned 19.

But the day came and went for Emma's parents without any word from her.

“Very difficult. That’s my first birthday I didn’t have her," Lori Sheets, her mother, said.

Bonny Reynolds and Lori Sheets told 12News that Emma has been missing for three weeks.

“It’s devastating. It just feels surreal," Lori Sheets said.

They said the last time any family members saw Emma was on July 5, when a man she had met on the video game Fortnite allegedly sent an Uber to drive her from her grandmother's house in Mesa to meet him in Show Low.
