Cheryl Hines is ready to set the record straight about her marriage to current U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

"I don't think there's any point to going through every rumor and headline to try to defend or explain it," Hines, 59, told the Wall Street Journal in an interview published Monday, August 11. "Bobby and I talk about everything, so that's how we move through everything, and we're really good friends, and we trust each other."

The actress also added that her upcoming memoir, titled Unscripted , will paint her marriage with Kennedy, 71, in a positive light.

"One would deduce that we love each other and are still married and whatever we've been through is behind us," she told the publication.
