Since he became Vice President JD Vance has proved to be a controversial figure both inside and outside the White House. Not only is his position as Donald Trump’s Vice President a massive U-turn after he called his boss America’s Hitler, but also for how he has behaved on the diplomatic stage.

Mr Vance has claimed the UK is losing free speech, claiming it is being eroded in the country and that the UK was doing down “a very dark path” in a recent meeting with Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
