It’ll be another hot and breezy day on the Avalon as crews gear up for another day battling out of control wildfires.
Environment Canada meteorologist Mike Vandenburgh says the high today will be around 30 with winds gusting to about 50 km/h. He says the metro area will continue to be entrenched in smoke.
Winds will be gusting from the west/southwest today which means it will be smokey in many areas.
It’ll be hot in central, however winds should be on the lighter side. There is some precipitation in the forecast for Friday, however it won’t be much.
The northern Avalon is only expecting trace amounts of precipitation on Friday afternoon, however there may be a bit more shower activity in central.
