SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A brand-new event designed to boost business and highlight small businesses in downtown Savannah is happening Wednesday.

It’s called Retailfest and it’s hosted by the Savannah Downtown Business Association.

On Wednesday, the Charles Morris Center will transform into a hub for shopping, style, and small business support. It’s all part of the inaugural Retailfest.

The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with pop-up shopping featuring eight small businesses located downtown — including J.Parker Ltd., Morgan Rae Boutique, Geechee Girl Apothecary, and many more.

At noon, the SDBA Runway Experience will take center stage followed by two panels focused on the state of retail in Savannah and how to drive more locals downtown, especially during the slower seasons.
