A disturbing abduction case forms the focus of a new Prime Video documentary launching this week. ‌

Nine-year-old Shannon Matthews disappeared in February 2008 whilst making her way home, triggering a 24-day manhunt for her whereabouts. ‌

The search became the most extensive operation carried out by West Yorkshire Police since their hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper, with the police inquiry setting the force back £3.2m. ‌
