Crews Successful in Dousing Three Brush Fires in Downtown St. John’s

On top of the wildfire situation, fire crews had a busy night putting out three brush fires in downtown St. John’s last night.

St. John’s Regional Fire Department had to contend with three brush fires, one of which was behind city hall.

RNC Constable James Cadigan says all fires were extinguished.

He says police were on the scene providing support to ensure that suppression efforts were successful, especially given downtown St. John’s is a densely populated and high traffic area.
