(KFVS) - Today is looking to be another unsettled day with spotty showers and storms.

After today, however, the trend will be to gradually dry out and heat up once again.

Brian Alworth says a weak front combined with an upper trough will allow for at least a few scattered thunderstorms to develop once again.

Like yesterday, a few could produce strong winds and very heavy downpours. Otherwise, temps and humidity will continue about the same.

On Thursday, storm chances will be lower but not zero.

From Friday into early next week, another upper ridge will develop over the middle of the country. This will bring another period of mainly dry and hot weather.
