Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle , the latest feature film in the Demon Slayer anime franchise, continues to set box office records in Japan.

As of August 11 (a national holiday), the film has earned a total of $148.6m (¥22bn) on 15.7 million admissions since its release July 18, and is now Japan’s 6th-highest-grossing film of all time, reports box office tracker Kogyo Tsushin.

Over its fourth weekend in cinemas, August 8-10, Infinity Castle earned $12.8m (¥1.9bn) on 1.3 million admissions, maintaining its #1 box office spot. In second and third place for the same weekend were new entry Jurassic World Rebirth with $8.8m (¥1.3bn) and domestic thriller Tokyo MER T he Movie: Nankai Mission , earning $3.75m (¥556m) in its second weekend.
