Afternoon rains and showers expected, but Wednesday is mostly dry

Temperatures are increasing, and rain chances are decreasing near the coast.

It’s close to normal coverage of showers and storms around Central Florida, according to NWS Melbourne.

Showers and thunderstorms are forecasted for after 5 p.m.

Without either one, rainfall amounts to less than a tenth of an inch.

Conditions along the coast, however, are drier.

Skies are mostly sunny with temperatures peaking at 94 degrees and heat index values as high as 103 degrees.
