Catastrophes such as the historic flood that killed more than 130 people and ravaged portions of Central Texas and the Hill Country on July 4, 2025, tend to bring with them few silver linings. But the bigheartedness of Texans who have pitched in—through all manner of volunteer efforts and direct monetary contributions—has certainly supplied a welcome bright spot.
