Students in Broken Arrow are back in the classroom for the 2025-26 school year, returning to campuses that have seen significant changes over the summer.

From new academic spaces to expanded safety measures, the district says it’s working to meet both educational and security needs.

New classrooms and campuses

Construction crews spent the summer adding classrooms to two elementary schools and completing the new Sequoyah Eighth Grade Center.

District leaders say the additional space will help accommodate a growing student population.

Focus on safety

This year, the high school is surrounded by a new perimeter fence, and secure vestibules have been added to several buildings.
