LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A woman was killed while walking a child to a bus stop in west Louisville, and police are looking for the shooter.

Police said the shooting happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday in the area of West Chestnut Street and 10th Street, in the Russell neighborhood.

It’s the same area where shots were fired last week on Jefferson County Public Schools' first day.

LMPD said there were several people at bus stops in the area when shots rang out. The woman was hit and taken to UofL Hospital, where she died. This content is imported from YouTube.
