The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office has achieved accredited status through the Michigan Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission . The recognition was announced during the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners meeting on Aug. 7, according to a community announcement.
The accreditation process is voluntary and involves a thorough evaluation of an agency’s policies, procedures, operations and services. This independent review is conducted by law enforcement professionals to ensure that agencies meet or exceed Michigan’s professional standards.
