A Lyft driver was ordered held without bail Monday on charges of sexually assaulting a passenger after driving her home, officials said.
Luis Carlos Ramos Teixeira, 27, of Brockton, was arrested Sunday and charged with rape and indecent assault and battery, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office said.
On Saturday, police in Somerville interviewed the passenger at a local hospital, prosecutors said. The woman said she had been sexually assaulted by a Lyft driver.
Teixeira allegedly picked up the woman at an undisclosed Boston location and brought her to her home in Somerville, where he sexually assaulted her in the back seat of the vehicle, prosecutors said.
Police identified Teixeira as the suspect and arrested him in Brockton. He was ordered held without bail pending a d
