One person is injured following a shooting in the Russell neighborhood Aug. 13, Louisville Metro Police officials said.

LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said officers were dispatched to the area around 11th and West Chestnut streets at around 8 a.m. and located the injured person. No further details were made available.

Officers from LMPD’s First Division are investigating at the scene, he said.
