A 57-year-old woman killed on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Pomona when a tire came off of a truck and smashed through the windshield of the car she was driving was identified Tuesday.

The accident was reported on Monday at 2:26 a.m. on the eastbound Pomona Freeway at the Garey Avenue off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Video showed the smashed window and partial roof collapse of the white Lexus sedan the woman was driving.

The truck was westbound when it lost its tire that crossed over to eastbound lanes and struck the car, whose driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s as Ingrid Zapata.
