The Yankees have found a series win at last, thrashing the Twins 9-1 to secure it. Carlos Rodón shoved, Aaron Judge got back to his home run hitting ways, and Giancarlo Stanton has stayed red hot despite the transition back into the outfield, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and a solo shot to his name. For the first time in a while a sweep is on the table and it’s in the Yankees’ favor, continuing the longstanding tradition of punishing Minnesota baseball.

While the tide has momentarily shifted in New York’s favor on the field, their game is hardly the only one they have to keep an eye on. They need help to get back towards the top of the standings, and they didn’t get a lot of it on Tuesday.
