LANSING — One person died and another was transported to an area hospital for evaluation after an Aug. 12 house fire in southwest Lansing, the Lansing firefighters union said on its Facebook page .
Firefighters continue to investigate the blaze that was reported around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 3300 block of Continental Drive, near Waverly and Holmes roads.
Fire was bursting through the roof and there were “heavy fire conditions” when they arrived, the union said.
Firefighters entered the home for search and rescue operations.
“A deceased victim was found within the home, and another resident was transported to a local hospital for evaluation,” the union said.
