GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — The township is looking for solutions to the practice of other towns sending their homeless people to the municipality.
"It's a shame," Mayor Anthony Coppola said during Tuesday's Township Council meeting. "There is no reason anyone should be without a home, or without food, or without education, or without electricity, or without gas, water or heat. There is no reason to have that. The problem is these people need to avail themselves of those types of services."
Councilman Clifton Sudler Jr. attended a recent joint task force meeting between Absecon and Galloway to investigate the matter. Absecon City Council created the task force in June.
