The provincial government has set up a dedicated email for people to use if they have resources that could be used to help with the wildfire situation.

Forestry Minister Lisa Dempster says, yesterday in particular, there was “crazy misinformation” being shared about people indicating they made offers to help to the premier’s office.

She says neither the Premier’s Office, nor her department had received anything.

She calls the information being shared “not only misinformation, it was wrong.” She says they have set up an email, forestfires2025@gov.nl.ca that people can use if they have equipment or tools that could help with the firefighting effort.
