Tens of thousands of teenagers sat their A level exams in May and June, and the time to find out how they did – and how the next three years of their lives might look – is fast approaching.

A-Level results will be released on Thursday, August 14 this year across the country. T level and BTEC results are also released at the same time.

In the UK, students apply to university through UCAS, the national system used to submit and track applications. The company receives your results directly and passes them on to universities, which then notify UCAS of their decision.

The outcome of university offers – called ‘offers of study’, where they provisionally offer you a place on the condition that you achieve certain grades – is expected to be visible on UCAS from around 8.15am onwards on T
