Birmingham-born Emma Willis has opened up about the reason behind her decision to tone down her hometown accent. While on a podcast with her husband Matt Willis, the pair discussed her apparent two accents, the one they claim fans see on screen, and a less formal one she uses at home.

The 48-year-old admitted to deliberately toning down her pitch when it comes to presenting, after insisting she previously disliked the way she sounded.

While guests on Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo's Nearly Parents podcast, the interview began by Sophie commenting on Jamie's apparent change of accent over the years.
