As star gazers were looking for Perseid meteor shower's zooming fireballs or Vulcan rocket launch on Tuesday night, multiple sightings of a mysterious white spiral had viewers stumped and questioning the unidentified object.
Many people took to social media and news outlets on Aug. 12 to report a glowing unidentified flying object and post pictures of what was described as a white spiral or boomerang or dogbone spinning shape in the sky. They were reported in Pennsylvania and Delaware, as well as New Hampshire, Maine, New York, Missouri, Illinois, Maryland and other states, according to reports .
