Aug. 15, Eddington City Limits, Aug. 31. To coincide with the release of Ari Aster’s new film Eddington, this series screens movies – Dogville, Nashville, JFK, The Wild Bunch, and 1941 — that directly inspired or echo the madness of Eddington, which depicts powder-keg communities ready to spill over into violence or enclosed worlds given to conspiracy and obsession. Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Ave., Astoria’s Kaufman Arts District.

Aug. 15, Movie Night at the Farm, 8:15 pm. Fresh air, farm-fresh snacks, and a screening of the 2023 animated feature film Elemental.
