BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - Last October, Paul Philamalee needed a new place to stay after his landlord evicted him from the home he was living in with his adopted mom and two dogs.
“On such short notice, we didn’t have time to save up money or anything like that,” Philamalee said. “We just came here, and we’ve been here ever since.”
Now, they all call the former Rodeway Inn home, located along Fort Crook Road in Bellevue. Days here are numbered after the FBI arrested the people who ran the hotel in a trafficking operation.
The investigation has left the hotel closed, and the remaining residents have to move out in about 10 days.
“Right now, this is the cheapest place we can honestly afford with our limited income,” Philamalee said. “It’s very stressful.”
