UPDATE: Gas leak reported near UNL's East Campus, 33rd Street closed

9:40 a.m.: update: Lincoln Police said it will take Black Hills three to four hours to repair.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln alerted on X Wednesday morning that a gas leak was reported across from East Campus at 1557 N. 33rd St.

33rd Street is closed between Holdrege and Potter streets.

The Lincoln Fire Department is on the scene.

People should avoid the area.
