Billings Police Department pursued a vehicle in a miles-long chase Tuesday evening from the 200 block of Terry Avenue to King Avenue East, with a police officer firing his gun during the chase.

According to a press release by BPD , officers and detectives located a vehicle reported as stolen from Bozeman at Terry Avenue. The press release stated the white SUV had already fled from BPD several times before the chase.

Police tried to pin the SUV. The suspect, Jaylen Migual Medicinebull, fled the scene, striking a patrol vehicle and almost hitting one of the officers. An officer, a 19-year veteran with BPD, then discharged his firearm.
