ST. LOUIS — A man stabbed in the Carondelet neighborhood last month has died of his injuries, police said Wednesday.
The man was found stabbed in the street about 6 a.m. July 29 in the 200 block of Fassen Street.
The man, 50, was conscious when officers found him and told police he knew who stabbed him, authorities said.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Then, on Aug. 2, he was released from the hospital. He returned five days later and died on Aug. 10.
The St. Louis medical examiner determined that the man died due to the complications from the stabbing injury.
Police have not released the man's name.
Homicide detectives are handling the investigation. Police have not said if they arrested anyone in connection with the man's death.
