ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A 15 year-old boy has been detained after shooting a 14 year-old girl in the arm on Aug. 12.

Officers responded to the 5800 block of Cabanne Ave. at approximately 5 p.m.

Once they arrived, they found the 14 year-old girl with a gunshot wound on the arm. Officers applied a tourniquet and she was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition.

A preliminary investigation found that the teen girl was shot by the 15 year-old boy. He was did not cooperate with officers and was taken to Juvenile Detention.

The investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
