GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A service technician was seriously injured Aug. 12 when he was hit by a truck while working on a disabled commercial vehicle along U.S. 250, according to the Daily Jeff, citing the New Philadelphia post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened at 12:19 p.m. on the eastbound side of U.S. 250. A 2003 Peterbilt commercial vehicle was stopped on the south berm, with a 2011 Ford F-550 service truck parked ahead of it.
The service technician, Travis Brown, 24, of Steubenville, and truck driver Travis Wells, 28, of Bridgeport, were working on the Peterbilt’s left front tire.
A 2005 Sterling L8500 truck drifted across the white fog line and struck Brown before leaving the scene, the Daily Jeff reported. Brown was flown by MedFlight to Summa Heal
