With a new year comes changes small and large, and the Madison Central School Board looked over some of those, including a change to the Madison Middle School cellphone policy and new hirings, at the regular Aug. 11 board meeting.

Mike Ricke, principal of Madison Middle School, said that students would be required to place their phones into cellphone caddies in the classroom, similar to what is required of high school students. Students will check in their phones at the beginning of each class period and receive their phones at the end of the class. ×
