PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The Portland Trail Blazers have reportedly reached a deal to sell the team to the owner of a group led by the owner of the Carolina Hurricanes, according to reports.
According to an agreement first reported by Sportico and then confirmed by ESPN, Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon expects to buy the Blazers from Paul Allen’s estate for more than $4 billion.
Details of the deal are unclear, but reports indicate that the purchase intends to keep the team in Portland.
