PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - Police arrested a Paragould woman after they say she moved out of her apartment and left her puppy to die.
Greene County District Court Judge Daniel Stidham found probable cause Tuesday to charge Kiah Muniz with aggravated animal cruelty and set her bond at $10,000 cash/surety.
On Aug. 7, officers responded to an address on Silverwood Drive regarding a report of animal cruelty.
When officers arrived, they found the puppy deceased.
“Witnesses stated that the defendant had left the dog in the apartment upon vacating it about a month ago,” the affidavit stated.
During questioning the following day at the police station, the witnesses claimed the defendant had not checked on the puppy in “several weeks” and decided to check on it themselves. That’s when they said
