Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, was “building a life” with his girlfriend prior to his death.

An obituary for the talent manager , who died on Aug. 7 at the age of 48 , listed Brittney Marie Jones as his “beautiful and loving partner in life and business.”

Blackstock and Jones had “started building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction and what will live on as his legacy, The Valley View Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana,” according to the obit.

But prior to working with Blackstock, Jones was an assistant to the “Stronger” singer.
