HHS Justifies mRNA Cuts With Fringe Science

HHS cited an extensive list of fringe research compiled by COVID contrarians to justify cancelling $500 million in mRNA vaccine research contracts, STAT reported.

When asked about the scientific justification for the move, an HHS spokesperson sent STAT a 181-page list of studies compiled by a slew of people who have criticized COVID-related public health interventions or championed unproven COVID treatments.

"Taken together, the studies cited generally appear to advance research that has been disputed by other scientists, who argue that mRNA vaccines are overwhelmingly safe," the article stated.
