ROGERS -- A school building damaged during the May 2024 Rogers tornado welcomed students back for the first time in over a year.

Greer Lingle Middle School reopened Wednesday morning after a multimillion-dollar restoration project. The school building retains the same amenities as before, with a few minor improvements meant to enhance students' and staff members' daily experiences.

The building sustained about $12 million in storm damage in May 2024, requiring classes to relocate for the entire 2024-25 academic year.
