The Sudbury Cyclones are gearing up for their final home match of the season this Saturday, Aug. 16, with promotion to League1 Premier hanging in the balance.

The Cyclones will host Hamilton United at Cambrian College, with kick-off set for 7 p.m.

Currently tied atop the League1 Championship standings with Unionville Milliken SC at 37 points, the Cyclones trail on the first tiebreaker – total wins. Unionville holds 11 victories to Sudbury’s 10. With just one match remaining after Saturday, every point is crucial in the race for automatic promotion.

The Cyclones boast a 10-3-7 record and the third-best defence in the league, having conceded only 21 goals this season. Their opponents, Hamilton United, sit at the bottom of the table with a 0-16-4 record and a league-worst -44 goal differen
