Cape Cod is gearing up for its first Jewish Culture Festival .

The festival, made possible by a grant from the Rosalyn and Richard Slifka Charitable Foundation, will take place Aug. 17 at Chabad Lubavitch of Cape Cod in Hyannis from 2 to 5 p.m.

“It’s not just about the food, music, or fun — though there’s going to be plenty of that,” said Rabbi Yekusiel Alperowitz, director of Chabad Lubavitch of Cape Cod and festival organizer, in a statement. “It’s about joining together in celebration of our rich Jewish culture with joy and pride. We’re excited to share vibrant Jewish music, art and cuisine with the entire Cape Cod community.”

The festival will feature a musical lineup headlined by Brookline native and Jewish rapper Nosson Zand and the Parnessim Klezmer & Jazz Band. Local Cape Cod
