WAPPINGER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Wappinger Falls resident died after being hit by a car on Tuesday morning, per the New York State Police. Li Jin Huang, 72, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers responded to the intersection of Schnabl Court and Myers Corner Road in Wappinger for reports of a car-pedestrian collision. State Police said the driver was traveling westbound on Myers Corner Road and upon approaching the intersection, Huang abruptly crossed the roadway and was struck by the vehicle.
